Friday 3rd July 5PM → Saturday 4th July 5PM
Chipping Sodbury Rugby Club & Wickwar Strength & Fitness
24 personal trainers. 24 consecutive hours. One incredible community rallying together for Megan Dixon — a 21-year-old facing life-changing surgery who needs a specialist wheelchair to rebuild her independence.
24 STRONG is a 24-hour relay bootcamp — 24 personal trainers, each leading one power-packed hour-long session back to back. From 5PM on Friday 3rd July through to 5PM on Saturday 4th July, the sessions never stop and neither do we.
Whether you're here for one session, a few hours, or the full 24-hour challenge — all fitness levels are welcome. Join for a drop-in, go the distance, or bring the whole family.
Overnight sessions (midnight through to dawn) move offsite to Wickwar Strength & Fitness — a purpose-built gym keeping the energy going through the witching hours.
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a condition where the nervous system doesn't work correctly, despite no structural damage — think of it like a software problem in an otherwise intact system.
FND can cause paralysis, seizures, blindness, loss of speech, and severe chronic pain. It is often invisible, deeply misunderstood, and notoriously difficult to diagnose. Despite affecting as many people as Multiple Sclerosis, it remains significantly under-researched. Many sufferers — like Megan — spend years searching for answers.
Affects 1 in 3,000 people yet receives a fraction of the research funding of comparable neurological conditions.
Fundraising for Megan
This is Megan Dixon — 21 years old, a treasured part of our community family, and the reason every single session of 24 STRONG exists.
Megan suffers from severe FND (Functional Neurological Disorder). She has been fighting for her health since she was just 13 years old — facing paralysis, blindness, and years of extreme pain with extraordinary courage. After years of searching, she has finally found a surgeon willing to take on her case. Her only remaining surgical option is to have both legs amputated above the knee. Her surgery is scheduled for 20th August.
A specialist wheelchair — ideally electric — would give Megan back something she hasn't had since she was 13: independence. The ability to move freely without always relying on someone else would truly change her life.
"I just want to be normal, to have a normal life. If I manage to get an electric wheelchair, I will be able to regain more independence than I ever thought I'd have again." — Megan
